Budgeting: Because Being Broke Isn’t a very good Personality Trait but it can be the worst
HOW TO CREATE A BUDGET:
:If you’re the kind of person who wonders why your wallet is always empty by the end of the month, this is the post for you. Spoiler alert: it’s probably because you don’t have a budget. And no, hoping or pray you don’t run out of cash doesn’t count as a financial strategy.
- Step-by-Step Guide:
1.List Your Income: "Let’s start with the easy part: how much money you get or earn? Allowance? Part-time job? Those secret transfers from your grandma whenever you visit her? Write it down on a notebook.
2.Track Your Expenses: Here’s where the shit gets real. Where is your money going? If the answer is 'I don’t know,' that’s a problem because you have successfully embarked on the track of being a broke so track every dollar you spend—yes, even that $5 you dropped on a Starbucks.
3. Set Savings Goals: "Saving isn’t just for adults with retirement plans. Whether you’re saving up for concert tickets, a new phone, or even your first car, having a goal makes it way easier to resist the urge to spend all your money on unnecessary stuff that have no good value or purpose for you after three days of using it.
4.Create a Spending Plan:" Now that you know where your money is coming from and where it’s going, it’s time to make a plan. Allocate money for necessities, fun stuff, and—gasp—savings. If you’re spending more than you’re earning, it’s time to make some cuts. And no, you can’t just cut out the boring stuff like food."
-Tips for Sticking to It: "Review your budget regularly—weekly, monthly, whatever time works for you. And if you blow it one month, don’t give up. Real men(and women, i am not a misogynist)don’t give up and know how to get up. So adjust but never adjust your dreams, learn, and move on. Budgeting isn’t a prison sentence; it’s a tool to help you get what you really want.
